May 28 to June 1: Caden, Ian and Katherine Visit :)

We don't get enough comments, so I thought that I would post an email thread instead... Every time we see these guys, we all realize that being together at some point down the road is what really matters. It's the reason we are all at least staying in Western Canada, and maybe one day we can all be in the same city. We love you guys.

Hey guys,Our flight was ok, delayed for about 20 mins on the tarmac but we did have a empty middle seat so Caden was able to sit down by himself for a while wich was nice. Ironically, Calgary greeted us with rain...We had a great time with you guys as usual. Although very different hanging out with kids in tow, we still managed to do some shopping, get some good eats (esp. Gev's baking!) and spa time! Can't wait to see you guys again. Hopefully, Caden will be more mobile and be able to keep up with his cousin Sydney better. Sydney is so sweet, happy and smart - hope she taught Caden a few things. Love your place and can't wait to see the changes next time we're out there. Thanks for sharing your room and toys with us Sydney! Oh, another memory from this weekend...- smelly poops (not only from Syd and Caden...)
Take care, love ya guys

Good grief… my neck is so sore (from painting the suite ceiling). I’ll have to save this thread as part of a blog entry for tonight, but the top 10 things about the weekend:
- Caden’s tongue “pwting” as he ate and Ian and Kath saying “no” to him while trying not to laugh
- Sydney & Caden kisses and hugs by the piano only to be followed eye-pokes and pushes (Caden’s snow-angel full-body collapse position was priceless)
- Swimming and having the lifeguards take pictures of us with people picking their bums in the background - Thursday night movie with Ian falling asleep on the couch and Kath and Geve giggling at everything like hysterical China-exchange-students… what was that?
- Sydney watching Caden getting his diaper changed, and then grabbing Mr. Bear and trying to do diaper changes herself
- Ian and Kath, upon coming back from the playground, realizing that Sydney REALLY doesn’t like swings - Caden’s plumber butt pants, giant burps, and squeek toy like sounds.
- Sore necks (from painting that damn ceiling)
- Realizing that Caden has his own blue-jackee (I was slow on that ball)
- Kath and Ian out eating us at Sushi Town (only $40!). btw, I will never eat at FatBurger again.
Miss you guys already. Sydney cried and cried at daycare drop off. When she got up today and we walked into her room she said “baby?, baby?”
