August 30th: Welcome to LA and Marina Del Ray

Hey Syd,

Your second trip to California, as Auntie Kim said at BOG you have travelled a lot already. This time, daddy was able to piggyback on a business trip to LA, and you and mommy came along for the ride. A few months ago when we were sorting out the details, you mom really emphasized that she wanted to go to Disneyland. Knowing that, we figured that we really needed a babysitter. So mommy recruited Popo to come with us. And after hearing about a trip to Disneyland, Auntie DooDoo decided to come along too. You're so lucky kid, you have so many people that want to travel with you.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Ray, a fantastic place. Daddy liked that there was a gym, Popo liked the free gourmet coffee, Mommy liked the plush bed, and we all liked the watermelon mint juice. Our first day we walked around Marina Del Ray. We went for a fantastic Italian dinner in the The Village where you dined on "pa-sta". Afterwards we rode the water taxi and watched the sunset while there was a free jazz concert being played. It was the first day of a LOT of walking for us, but you loved hanging out with Popo.

P.S. we were all grateful that Popo lost her HongKong Welding Helmet Visor thing. However, it's going to take a few years for Popo's taste in hats to improve (just kidding Popo... or at least I am... not sure about mommy and A-DooDoo).
