Bon Voyage - Off to Alaska

With many thanks to Gong Gong and PoPo, we were off to Alaska.

Our ship was the Celebrity Mercury and, as you can tell from the photos, Sydney was burning rubber as she eagerly boarded the boat.

It was interesting floating under Lion's Gate Bridge. On of the cruise staff asked us if we were from Vancouver. When I said, "yes" he told me that he had served on cruises around the world, and that we were lucky to live in the most beautiful city he had been too. When I get the chance to reflect on Vancouver and take in her beauty, I have a hard time arguing with Geneva when she says that she never wants to move away from here.
