February 13th: Schedules are important

It's been a couple of weeks since the last update. Sydney's continuing to grow and change. We're getting into a rhythm of doing things that we were doing before Sydney came along with her. We're working out again, doing yoga, going out for dinner once or twice a week... all with the kid. Geneva's also now doing her "stroller strides" class three to five times a week, and expectedly whipping herself and her friends into shape (surprise surprise). In the last few weeks, Sydney's met a lot of new people including Gillian (for lunch at Yaletown), Kerrie and Lorne (at Sophie's for veggie burgers... goodness, best veggie & nut burger in the world), Kyla-Melvin-Max (love the new house), Susan-Doug-Teagan, Cheryl from the WWE, and Judy & Evan (every Stroller stride, and even a Stars & Strollers movie to see A Night at the Museum).

We've learned that it's important to get Sydney close to her regular schedule. Unbelievable, she's sleeping really well when we keep her to schedule. She's up around 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. on most days, power naps in the morning around 10:00 to 11:00, a long afternoon nap, and then ready for bed around 8:00 p.m. But when she can't sleep well during the naps, it's bad.
Sunday was a busy day, brunch at Provence with Cheryl, a house warming at Kyla's place... poor Sydney, she only got a one hour nap the whole day, she fell asleep so early and then was totally cranky all Monday. Today she's back on schedule and her usual super curious and quietly observant but a giggly/ gassy bundle of fun.

Anyhow, here are some new pictures. She's such a fun little person to be around. She's just started to figure out her feet and her hands, it's pretty hilarious.

Syd's thinking "Hello feet"

Sydney's working on her "People's eyebrow"... already a fan of The Rock like mom.

Sitting up on her own (pretty much).

"awwww, cute."

"Yummy..."

Chillin' after a morning yoga seesion with dad. Shavasana...
