Sept 9: NHL 09 Launch Event

A day at the office... :). Our pretty spectacular launch event for NHL 09 featuring JR, Dion Phaneuf, Partrick O'Sullivan, Drew Doughty, Corey Perry and Josh Harding. I went for launch with Josh Harding, really nice guy. Also had dinner with DP, JR, JH, Sully and Jamie from NewPort. Dion was extremely polite to everyone, Sully was an interesting guy and I really liked him.

JR was amazing. Incredibel character and personality. "One of my top 5 favourite players of all time," as I told him

GOALLLLLLL!!!!

Training for tryouts, through truthfully she enjoying the post-goal prancing more than the goal scoring itself.

Sept 6: Auntica Visit

Auntie Christina was in town with Uof A Pandas Women's Soccer team (with Lisa and Janelle... but Lisa was too sick to take pictures with you and Janielle was whining too much about not playing...). :)

You had fun playing with Christina's jacket zipper, and eating lunch at Mexicali and meeting Lee. However, Christina threatened to dump Josh if you kept asking about where he was. :)

Go Pandas!

Sept 5: Rain Boots

Check out the new boots! We broke them in at home. You wore them around like slippers for the entire weekend.

Sept 3rd: Pics from Hollywood

Even in hollywood there's a Mickey Mouse (in front of Donald Duck's star on the Walk of Fame).

Sept 2: Dancing at the LA Outlet Mall

And all of us having to eat our Cheesecake Cafe dinner in the hallway at the Ritz as Sydney slept. We were truly upper class squatters.

Sept 1st: Sydney's 1st Disneyland Trip!!!

Ya-hoo!!! The highlight of our trip, and in general the happiest place on earth for your mommy. Your mom has been looking forward to visiting Disneyland since we first came up with the idea. This was her 4th visit and her second with daddy.

Overall, you loved walking around and seeing the parade. If you are scarred for life from scary rides, that's our fault. The first ride that you went on was Snow White and the 7 Dwarves. I was initially thinking that it would be cute and fun, but I totally forgot how dark the fairy gets (poison apple, scary step mom, evil old woman, loud noises)... you seriously freaked out (as witnessed in the "getting ready to go on the merry-go-round picture" where you look like you were sweating and crying). You liked the merry-go-round after mommy went on the horse and we stood beside her. You liked sitting in Dumbo with ADoodoo and Popo, but once it got going... not so great. Anything that was boats and trains was cool (expect for the one boat part where we got swallowed by the whale). The worst ride by far was the Finding Nemo submarine. We waited 45 minutes to get in, and after the sub "submerged" you held on to me and cried and drooled the whole time.

That said, you LOVED parade. You were mezmerized by the Orbiter in TomorrowLand. You didn't want to take your picture with Mickey Mouse or Pluto at the beginning of the day either, but we snuck in a photo with Minnie Mouse at the end of the day.

Your favourite part of Disneyland? Main Street shopping of course. You grabbed your Minnie Mouse, and any Mickey Mouse or bag or toy that you could and walked around the store like you'd won a shopping spree. It was hilarious, so many people said that you were too cute (which you are... :)). You and the shopping, you are definitely a Chan-girl.

You were so pooped at the end that the fireworks didn't wake you up. Happy first Disneyland Trip!

For our second kid. Kiddo, I think that you are going to end up being a daredevil. In addition to the fact that you are constantly racing around in mommy's belly, Mommy was quite the adventurer in Disneyland. Mommy and daddy went to the Haunted House (which daddy hates... I'm a chicken), rode Space Mountain (which nearly gave Popo a heart attack, but your mom loved and we both screamed the whole ride), raced through the Matterhorn, and travelled on Big Thunder under the fireworks (one of my favourite things to do... so glad that I got to do it with mommy... i really love her). Best of all, mommy and daddy got the Fast Pass for Splash Mountain. Mommy scouted all the positions to figure out where to sit to not get wet. The log before us had 6 people, and the 2 in the back were dry, so we thought it was safe to sit in the back. What we learned is that it doesn't matter where you sit, it matters how heavy the people in log with you are. Mommy had some VERY heavy people in the log in front of her = Mommy got very very wet. :)

Love you kids both. New kid, I think that you are going to be as special as your big sister.
