Thanks for the Bday Snacks mom

Swimming Lessons

Sydney's class running a swimming program. They are in lessons every Friday. Sydney's now (March) is able to swim a full pool length with a lifejacket. Amazing considering that dad didn't swim until I was in Grade 6, and Geneva didn't start swimming until we moved to Vancouver. Great job Syd!

Logan and his buddy Kensai

Haha - his first favourite friend. :)

Happy Halloween!

Hanging with Logan

Logan and daddy did a date day together. We hung out at Go Bananas and grabbed some lunch for mom as well (the sashimi picture was from a separate day - but he is eating sashimi). Goodness, I love spending time with my little buddy. :)

Sydney (unfortunately) bailed on a separate date day to go swimming with friends :( Oh well. Love them both more than anything.

The Wiggles!

Logan loves the Wiggles. Sydney has started to out grow them a bit. Regardless, they are always entertaining live - full of energy and fun songs. Being able to take Logan and Sydney to shows is a blast, it's so enjoyable to see how much they love the performing arts. :)

Oilers!

Amazing. We took the kids to their first Oilers game. It was an epic but short lived experience.

The game was an exhibition affair versus the Canucks. Sydney (whose friends at daycare have made a pro-Canucks impression on her) consistently says that her two favourite teams are the Oilers and "pink-team-Canucks." I have no idea why she thinks the Canucks are a pink team (especially when she has a pink Oilers jersey from Ales Hemsky) - she swear she already knows how to stick it to dad (as Riles would say).

Any, decked out in their Eberle and Hall signed jerseys, the kids made it to the game (literally on mommy's back) with Ba Noi (who NEVER goes to games) and Auntika and Sabrina. We had a great time. We were there for one period, the Oilers scored early and often (i think the score was 3-1 by the time we left). Sydney and Logan were not fans of the blowing horn when the Oilers scored ("too loud!"), Sydney went walking through the concourse with me, and all in all we had a great time with Ba Noi. So much fun - can't wait for a couple of years down the road when i can take them to a playoff game.

More fun photos in Edmonton

Pho at Ba Noi and more farm goodness.

Hanging with Hodge and the kids

The one thing about Edmonton is that there is a always someone there that we haven't seen in a while. We met Chloe for the first time, and got to hang out with Hodge, Aiden and Cindy.

Daddy's Travel Trip

As mommy and the kids headed home for two weeks, daddy was busy completing the NHL launch, presenting at Sales Meetings, and working on the upcoming NBA launches (probably the toughest launch that dad has had to work through). Some of the fun parts were:
- Attending his first San Francisco 49ers game, the Monday Night season opener vs the Saints where Jerry Rice's number was retired. It was likely the last 49er game daddy will go to as traffic was brutal getting to the game, he saw five fights break out, and despite leaving early it still took an hour to get a taxi cab. Glad to have checked off a 49er game from the list of things to to (bonus points for Rice's retirement and them playing against the defending champion Saints & Drew Brees).
- Off to New York with my In and Out Burger snack, Harvard Business Review, and Jack Welch's Winning in hand.
- In New York for our EA SPORTS Triple Double basketball event. Four days of consumer and media activation that included a live set by Naughty by Nature and JCole, and featuring the first shoe that dad worked on (the EA SPORTS KD III).

Much happier to have landed in Edmonton with the kids.
