High... Low...

Sydney's First Pumpkin Carving

This year we decided to carve a scary pumpkin. Sydney, you didn't like the scary side so I drew a happy face on the flip side...

You had so much fun carving and colouring the pumpkin. The pumkpin seeds were gross, and our fingers were all green afterwards, but we had a good time.

P.S. Mommy was so cute when we tired to sit on the floor stool. Mommy's too big now for that stuff.

Love you

October 29: HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY SYDNEY

Happy 2nd Birthday Sydney. It was a busy day for you.
- Daddy dropped you at daycare late because we spent some quality time together. we had to race to the park to catch up with everyone that was walking
- We went to EA for trick or treating. you cleaned up the candy and chocolate... but bummer for you they all had peanuts which you can't eat (oh well... more for mommy)
- Mommy got you a TON of BALLOONS! you love them. you love watching them float "up high" and then dragging them "low". :)
- We went to dinner at horizons. you had the spicy calamari to start, some flatbeard, and water. daddy and you were suppose to split a maple smoked salmon, and you ate the first two bites. but then mommy gave you some of her duck breast, and it was over. you inhaled the duck breast and weren't having any of the salmon. however, you call all yummy meat "gogo porkchop"
- Off to home and opening presents. you almost cried in excitement from Adoodoo's Wiggles DVD, you dragged your scooby doo blanket/ backpack everywhere, and you yelled "BINGO" when you opened mommy's gift.

Sydney says "tank-you-birfday-pessents" to everyone! Love you all.

Ducks...

Daisy Duck... :)

October: HALLOWEEN! quack-quack

Happy halloween from Daisy Duck!

Some pictures of Sydney from the EA Halloween Party. We played BINGO! and she won a gift certificate to Chapters and a free pumpkin. What a lucky charm. Plus, she had so much fun saying "Bingo!" and then clapping like crazy when people won.

She also LOVES trick or treating and filling up her bag with stuff (go figure, Sydney loves to shop with a bag and get free stuff... hahaha). Nice Halloween bag. :)

Lunch with Sam and Evan

At the baby shower...

October 25: Baby Shower

Linda and Sam were so nice and offered their beautifully renovated home as a place for Geneva's Baby Shower. Mommy is lucky to have such good friends like Judy, Linda, Yvonne, Anita& Ellen. Sydney had so much fun hanging out with Samantha for a second weekend in a row (we really should do that more often) and Emma was fantastic looking after the girls. Ethan and Evan were busy being boys (though Daddy joined in for some living room soccer and got yelled at by Mommy).

FYI Sam, 11:00 a.m. is TOO early for Merlot.

Thanks again for all the gifts, food, and great company

Geneva & David

October: Oilers Visit

Zack Stortini showing me how to take a punch. I had no idea what I was doing.

Sam/ Zack/Matt Garon and some random guy visiting EA

Sam signing a jersey for Sydney. He signed "to Sydney, hope you grow up a huge Oilers fan - Sam Gagner.

Great guys. In general hockey players are genuinely nice people. Props to Duke in PR for making this happen on the heels of the Sam Gagner TSN rating story.

October: Morning Routine

1) Sydney with her cereal stars, her mommy headband looking like she's just exfoliated her skin, her blankie to keep her legs warm in the fall/ winter (we live on a mountain after all), watching treehouse.

2) Our newest toothbrushing technique.
